New Scottish air route from Southampton

Sunday, 13 Oct, 2006 0

A new air link between Southampton and Inverness is due to take off this month.

Eastern Airways’ weekday Southampton-Leeds Bradford service will fly onwards to the Scottish city from October 30.

Online fares start at £99 return including taxes, fees and charges.

The airline’s Scotland director Graeme Ross said: “This new link is by far the quickest option for those travelling from the South Coast of England to the Scottish Highlands, significantly reducing journey times compared to the gruelling 12 hour drive. Our convenient service will not only save time for business travellers, but is also ideal for tourists taking short breaks or activity holidays in the Highlands.”
