New Seabourn flagship to be named Odyssey

Thursday, 27 Jun, 2007 0

Luxury cruise line Seabourn is to name its $250 million new flagship Seabourn Odyssey.

The 450-passenger, all-suite vessel will be the first new addition to any fleet in the ultra-luxury segment of the cruise industry for six years.

The 8,500-ton ship is to make its debut in Venice in summer 2009.

Seabourn Odyssey will be three times the size of the line’s three existing ships – Seabourn Pride, Spirit and Legend – yet will carry just over twice as many passengers to provide the highest space-per-guest ratio in the industry.

The line expects to publish the details of Odyssey’s maiden year cruise itineraries by the end of 2007.
