New travel trade manager for Canada

Nicolas Fournier has been named as travel trade manager by the Canadian Tourism Commission.

The former Destination Quebec UK sales and marketing manager joins on January 5.

Samantha Scutt has joined the CTC as consumer marketing manager following and 11 year career spanning Kuoni Travel, Walt Disney Company and VisitBritain.

CTC UK managing director Rupert Peters said: “It will be great to start 2009 with a new team in place. 

“I feel excited about the enthusiasm our two new colleagues will bring to the market. 

“We will be able to move forward with developing the global platform for the agents’ training programme, and fully harness the enthusiasm around the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in our marketing efforts.”
