Bmi has promoted Neil Tolefree to head of UK sales.

Formerly corporate sales divisional manager, he will be responsible for all business and leisure agents, dotcoms and sales representation for the carrier’s service to Mumbai in India.

He replaces Karolien de Hertogh who has left the airline.

Bmi commercial director Adrian Parkes said: “Since joining the airline six years ago Neil has played a key role in the sales team. We look forward to him building on his success and taking the corporate side of the business forward, as well as managing and developing relationships with the travel trade.”

Prior to bmi, Tolefree was national accounts manager at Avis and spent eight years in sales roles at British Airways.
