New UK team for Azamara as brands split
Richard Twynam has been appointed the first ever managing director in the UK and Ireland for boutique cruise line Azamara Club Cruises.
He will lead a new 10-strong team dedicated to the brand which will be split from sister brands Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises from January.
Parent company RCL Cruises decided earlier this year to restructure its business in the UK and Ireland.
From 1 January, there will be three dedicated businesses but Twynam will continue to work in partnership with Stuart Leven, MD Royal Caribbean International and Jo Rzymowska, MD Celebrity Cruises.
Ԭ
Twynam, who was previously the head of Virgin Holidays Cruises, will be joined by commercial director David Duff, formerly commercial planning and analysis for RCL Cruises.
Duff is supported by a commercial team of a business analyst and an air and inventory team member to help agents plan pricing and itineraries.
Azamara will also have its own three-strong sales team and a marketing communications and PR manger.
With a new focus on agent sales, the sales and marketing team will be supported by a trade marketing executive.
