Nile Rodgers and Chic, Hollie Willoughby and the cast of a brand new Cirque de Soleil will entertain guests at the Naming Ceremony of MSC Bellissima in March.

Around 3,500 travel agents from the UK and Ireland have been invited to take part in the three-day celebrations, being held in Southampton from March 2.

Hosting the Naming Ceremony proceedings on the Saturday will be ITV’s Holly Willoughby, best known for presenting This Morning, Dancing on Ice and the latest I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.

Three-time Grammy Award-winner Nile Rodgers and his band Chic will then take to the stage and Academy Award-winning actress and MSC Cruises’ godmother, Sophia Loren will perform the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Afterwards, guests will be treated to an exclusive Cirque du Soleil at Sea performance to provide a taster of new on board shows lined up for MSC Bellissima.

Entertainment will then continue into the evening on board the ship with a gala dinner followed by live music from singer, songwriter, producer and director Leee John of IMAGINATION.

Sunday will see further celebrations in Southampton when agents from the UK and Ireland on board, with entertainment from Southampton born, award-winning songwriter, DJ and pop star Craig David.

MSC Bellissima is the fourth ship from the Swiss-based cruise line to launch in less than two years and will be closely followed by MSC Grandiosa in November.

She will depart Southampton on March 4 on a 10-night inaugural cruise to Genoa.

From March 17th MSC Bellissima will sail 7-night itineraries in the Mediterranean calling Genoa, Naples and Messina (Italy) Valetta (Malta), Barcelona (Spain) and Marseille (France).
