No free carry-on with JetBlue’s ‘Blue Basic’ fare
JetBlue is slashing fares on many of its basic economy tickets but there is a downside. Those cheap ‘Blue Basic’ tickets will not include a free carry-on bag from the summer.
Blue Basic customers will only be entitled to a small bag that fits under the seat – anything else and customers will have to pay extra, just like low cost carriers like Spirit Airlines. The new policy takes effect for travel from 20 July.
JetBlue is also following its rivals by ending change fees for all tickets – except Blue Basic.
