Robertson, South Africa -Despite a global economic recession with a decline in accommodation occupation rate between 25 and 40 % in South Africa (percentages depending on locations) Soekershof; Private Mazes & Botanical Gardens in South Africa did not experience a significant decrease in the number of visitors (-1.88%) but felt a 10% decline in the sales of added value (plants, shop with locally made Soekershof Signature gifts).
The number of South African visitors continues a downward trend but this is compensated by the increasing number of European visitors.
Approx. 35% of overseas visitors is from the UK (27% in 2008)
Soekershof is located in the Klaas Voogds Valley between Robertson and Montagu in the Western Cape.
