Nominations open for TravelMole UK Awards 2017
Nominations are now open for the TravelMole UK Awards 2017.
Now in their 13th year, the awards recognise the best use of web, social, mobile and technology in the travel industry.
This year, for the first time, the final winners will be determined by votes from you, TravelMole readers.
A panel will create a shortlist from all the nominations for each category (see list below), and then it’s over to you.
The awards will be presented on November 15 in London on a City Cruise on the Thames, followed by an after party.
"The TravelMole UK Awards are now in their 13th year and have become a key event in the travel industry calendar," said TravelMole MD Graham McKenzie.
"This year we’ve decided to do things a little bit differently and invite you, our readers, to become our esteemed judges and choose the worthy winners."
McKenzie thanked this year’s sponsors – Mall of America, Bloomington Minnesota, Travel2, Cellet Marketing & Public Relations, Designate, Brand USA, roomsXML and TravelTek.
"We’ve got some great sponsors this year, and with support from Mall of America in Minneapolis, the home of Prince, we’re expecting the after party to have a touch of princely purple. Let’s go crazy!" he added.
Doug Killian, senior director of international communications for Mall of America, said: "Mall of America is delighted to be sponsoring this year’s TravelMole Web Awards as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations.
"The UK is MOA’s most important overseas international market with over 55,000 visitors in 2016 enjoying tax free shopping on clothes and shoes in 520 world-class retail stores, a great choice of restaurants and Nickelodeon Universe, the nation’s largest indoor family theme park featuring 27 rides.
"Visitors can also enjoy SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium, home to sharks, sting rays and an amazing underwater tunnel; FlyOver America a 4D immersive flight adventure; Crayola Experience; Rainforest Café; Hard Rock Café; the nation’s longest indoor zip line and an 18-hole mini golf course."
Kyle Haughton, managing director for City Cruises, added: "With a strong digital presence ourselves, we are delighted to be supporting the TravelMole awards that bring recognition to the finest websites, social media and mobile deployments in the global travel industry. We look forward to welcoming all nominees and industry friends onboard for an exciting evening."
