Norse Atlantic Airways takes flight from Fort Lauderdale
Norse Atlantic Airways this week celebrated its inaugural departure from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Oslo
This milestone follows the airline’s inaugural flights between Oslo and JFK New York on June 14.
The airline flies three times a week from Fort Lauderdale, with one-way fares starting from $149.
Future destinations under consideration by Norse for FLL include London, Paris and Berlin.
“Norse Atlantic Airways has now entered a new chapter, we are delivering on our promise to offer affordable value to all,” said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways.
The flight was operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
“Norse’s debut at FLL is an important moment for our airport as it marks the return of transatlantic service and a direct link to Europe that has been missing for a few years,” said Mark Gale, FLL CEO/Director of Aviation. ”
Norse Atlantic offers two cabin choices, Economy and Premium.
Passengers can choose from Light, Classic, and Plus fares
Light fares are Norse’s value option while Plus fares include the maximum baggage allowance, two meal services and increased ticket flexibility.
