Norwegian carried two million passengers in September
Scandinavian carrier Norwegian had another positive month in September, carrying more than two million passengers.
That is up 8% from September 2022.
“Our recorded regularity is now at the strongest level in over 18 months, while our on-time-performance also improved further,” said Geir Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian.
In September, it flew 99.7% of services, with an on-time rate of 84.6%.
The majority of the few flights that Norwegian didn’t operate were caused by air traffic control issues at London Gatwick Airport and strikes in Italy, the airline said.”
“As we approach the winter season, we have adjusted our operations to align with the travel patterns in the quieter winter trading period.”
“A clear trend is that our destinations in southern Europe experience continued robust demand in the Nordics,” said Karlsen.
Norwegian recently opened sales for the summer 2024 programme.
The airline expects to announce more summer routes to new destinations in November.
