Norwegian launching weddings at sea
Norwegian Cruise Line is now offering legal weddings at sea starting this month on selected sailings.
Guests can tie the knot on the ocean during sailings on the Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Getaway and on Norwegian Escape when it launches later this year.
Ceremonies will be performed by the ships’ captain and includes nuptials for same sex couples in regions where it is recognized by law.
These destinations include Boston, Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Vancouver, Tampa, Miami and Port Canaveral.
Norwegian’s ‘Wedding At Sea’ package includes a bridal bouquet, champagne toast, wedding cake and the services of a wedding coordinator.
The marriage license will be issued in the Bahamas.
Norwegian continues to offer tailor made destination wedding packages with onboard ceremonies performed while the ship is docked in port or as a conventional destination wedding ceremony.
Norwegian will also offer ‘vow renewal’ packages comprising a vows ceremony performed by a ship officer, a cake, sparkling wine, ceremony music and more.
