Oaks Hotels & Resorts has opened its first New South Wales Hunter Valley property, the former Cypress Lakes Resort.

It will now be known as Cypress Lakes Resort by Oaks Hotels & Resorts.

Oaks Hotels & Resorts’ chief executive Brett Pointon said the resort "is a superb acquisition for the Oaks network and a testament to our commitment to grow on a national and global scale".

A two-hour drive from Sydney in wine country, the 4.5 star, 100-hectare property consists of 126 one, two and three bedroom villas, some with views of the neighbouring Cypress Lakes Golf & Country Club.

Leisure facilities include two swimming pools, tennis courts, gymnasium, sauna and spa.
