Ocean Florida sees surge of interest for new Universal theme park
Specialist operator Ocean Florida is reporting huge demand from the UK market with a date now confirmed for the opening of Universal Orlando’s new Epic Universe park.
It is being driven by the much-anticipated release of ticket sales for Epic Universe.
Alongside this, there is growing anticipation around potential changes to Air Passenger Duty (APD), expected to be addressed in the UK Budget on 30 October 2024.
A potential rise in APD may have prompted travellers to confirm and pay for bookings now ahead of any potential increase.
Overall, Ocean Florida’s enquiries are up 22% week-on-week.
Universal enquiries have seen an even more significant surge, increasing by 82% week-on-week, highlighting the strong demand to visit the new theme park which opens next year.
