Indian ride hailing service Ola is reportedly planning a subscription based service to differentiate itself from main rival Uber.
As it looks to fend off competition for its US rival, Ola could launch the new service as earlier as next week, according to a Tech in Asia report.
The service is called Ola Exclusive, and will allow post-paid billing on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, offering more availability of cars and free Wi-Fi in all vehicles.
It is part of a move to improve choice and customer experience, an Ola source said.
Ola Exclusive will also offer reward points for loyal users, the source added.
Ola hasn’t yet confirmed the reports, and claims to have a 60% market share in India with more than 150,000 bookings a day.
