On the Beach seeks new investors
On the Beach has hired corporate finance house DC Advisory to help it find new investors.
The Cheadle-based online agency was founded by Simon Cooper in 2004 and now employs 140 people.
Five years ago Cooper sold a stake in the company to Isis and has since invested heavily in technology.
It is estimated to be worth around £100 million.
Cooper and the current management team of Wendy Parry (chief financial officer), Jonathan Smith (chief technology officer) and Alistair Daly (chief marketing officer) will stay with the business to drive On the Beach’s growth strategy.
Industry heavyweights John Donaldson and Dermot Blastland are both shareholders in On the Beach and are non-executive directors.
Before launching On the Beach, Cooper ran ski site On the Piste, which he sold to Tui Travel.
