Operator takes advantage of new direct Cape Verde flights
Destination Portugal has re-priced its winter 2006/7 programme to the Cape Verde Islands in light of new direct flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Sal Island.
The new flights start on November 2 and will take five hours, departing the UK at around 9am and returning at 11pm. Flights to the island currently go via Lisbon.
The tour operator has reduced prices by up to £282 per person on a Three Island Experience.
MD John Perriss said: “This new flight pattern will have a huge impact on tourism to these largely ignored tropical Islands.
“I like to think of the Cape Verde as Caribbean Islands on the wrong side of the Atlantic and as undeveloped as Lanzarote was 25 years ago. However, as there are only the two direct flights each week, the seats will soon be sold, so early booking is essential to obtain preferred dates”.
Destination Portugal offers tailor-made single and multi-centred holidays in 28 hotels in eight of the nine Islands.
Lead-in price is £591 per person including direct flights from Gatwick or Manchester, private taxi transfers, Visa fee, and seven nights twin share B&B in a standard room at the three-star Pensão Nha Terra on Sal Island.
