Orbitz and Worldspan friends again

Worldspan and Orbitz say they have settled their bitter dispute over service levels, but are remaining tight-lipped about the details of their new deal. US online agency Orbitz tried to ditch Worldspan in October saying it was unhappy with the service it was receiving from the GDS. If Orbitz had been successful it would have been extremely bad news for Worldspan, which admitted it would have had “a material impact” upon its business. In a statement Worldspan said: “The companies have reached a resolution that solidifies the importance of their travel technology partnership and paves the way for the continued growth and advancement of both companies.”
