Oriana to be refurbished in December
The Oriana will introduce Gary Rhodes-inspired fine dining on board later this year as part of a major refurbisment.
The P&O Cruises superliner will also have improved passenger cabins, better teen and children’s facilities and will introduce weddings at sea.
P&O Cruises commercial director Nigel Esdale said: “The cabins will have a stylish feel, similar to that of a boutique hotel.
“Oriana Rhodes will become the ship’s select fine dining restaurant and will be located in The Curzon Room, which is currently a piano lounge.”
P&O’s newest ship, Arcadia, already has a Rhodes restaurant – Arcadian Rhodes.
Passengers travelling on board Oriana’s Christmas cruise, departing Southampton on December 18, will be the first to experience the new look interiors.
Weddings at sea are being introduced from January 7, when the Captain’s Lounge will be refitted to act as the on board wedding chapel, where Oriana˙s passengers can be married by the ship’s captain.
