Orlando favourite for 2004 ABTA convention

ABTA has refused to confirm that Orlando will be the location for next November’s convention.

An ABTA spokeswoman told TravelMole: “At this stage I wouldn’t have said it was true. We are still looking at our options. I think it’s favoured by members but there’s still a long way to go.”

Orlando is understood to be favoured by the convention organiser Keith Betton. However the ABTA board still have to approve Orlando as the official choice for the 2004 event, which is not likely to happen until July at the earliest.

The 2003 event – which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year – takes place in Palma, Majorca from 30 October to 2 November.
