Philippine Airlines has inked a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways to improve connectivity for their respective customers travelling between Manila and Thailand.
The agreement took effect on October 28 and offers PAL passengers through ticketing to Thailand’s northern cultural hub Chiang Mai via Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The agreement also enables Bangkok Airways’ customers to book Philippine Airlines’ flights between Bangkok and Manila.
"The codeshare partnership with Philippine Airlines is a major milestone in the airlines’ network development strategy and a new footprint in the region," said Bangkok Airways president Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth.
The two carriers aim to expand the codeshare partnership to include other destinations across Thailand.
Both PAL and Bangkok Airways are Skytrax accredited 4-Star airlines.
PAL becomes Bangkok Airways’ 27th codeshare partner.
