River Park

Located by the Santa Ynez River, River Park is a scenic gem in Lompoc that offers visitors a serene environment to unwind and connect with nature. With its lush greenery, walking trails, and picnic areas, this park provides the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll or a family outing. The park also features a playground for some outdoor family fun.

 

Beattie Park

Beattie Park is a beloved community gathering spot that showcases the city’s commitment to preserving its natural heritage. This expansive park offers landscaped gardens, shaded picnic areas, a disc golf course, and open spaces for recreation. On a clear day, from the highest point in the park, you can easily see the Pacific Ocean. Beattie features a disc golf course and horseshoe pits, a large group picnic area, a children’s playground, two lighted basketball courts, a multipurpose soccer/football and more. There is an urban forest preserve which has a popular winding fitness trail, and “Lookout Point” located at the highest point. Additionally, the park hosts various events and festivals throughout the year.

 

Ryon Memorial Park

Near downtown Lompoc, Ryon Memorial Park is Lompoc’s oldest park. The 22.5 acres boast well-maintained walking paths, picnic spots, and spacious fields for recreation. Ryon Memorial Park also features tennis courts and basketball courts.

 

La Purisima Mission State Historic Park

Located minutes from Lompoc, La Purisima Mission State Historic Park is a must-visit destination for history, culture, and nature. This expansive park preserves and showcases a restored mission complex, offering a glimpse into California’s rich history. Visitors can explore the gardens, stroll through the historic buildings, and learn about the daily life of the mission’s inhabitants. The park also features numerous hiking trails.

Miguelito Park

Miguelito Park is a charming green oasis. It’s a place where children revel in the playgrounds, while parents enjoy the quietude. This park boasts an array of attractions, including group picnic areas for communal gatherings, hiking trails, horseshoe pits and BBQ grills for outdoor feasts.
