Parkroyal doubles up in Myanmar

Thursday, 04 Apr, 2014 0

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has opened Parkroyal Nay Pyi Taw, the first international hotel in the capital of Myanmar.

The launch also makes Parkroyal the first international hotel brand in Myanmar to have a presence in two major cities – the commercial centre, Yangon, and the administrative seat of the government, Nay Pyi Taw.

The Parkroyal Nay Pyi Taw opens with 90 rooms, with another 90 expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.

Nay Pyi Taw will host the ASEAN Leadership Forum in May.

Last November, Pan Pacific Hotels Group announced a conditional joint venture with Shwe Taung Group to develop the first Pan Pacific hotel in Myanmar, scheduled to open in 2017.
