PATA founder dies

Tuesday, 10 August 20103 min read

Bill Lane, one of the founders of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), has passed away aged 90.

He suffered respiratory failure after a brief illness.

A very active member of PATA, he was also founder-publisher of one of Pacific Asia’s first travel publications, the ‘Sunset Magazine’.

The PATA team expressed its condolences to his family and remembered the many feats he achieved on behalf of Pacific-Asia’s travel and tourism industry during his lifetime.
