Pawa Dominicana will touch down in Miami next month with double daily flights from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
It marks a milestone as Pawa will become the first commercial Dominican carrier on US soil for 20 years.
Service starts on November 16 and reservations have already gone live for purchase online.
"This is good news for everyone, especially for travelers who wish to see our Dominican capital. We are confident that having this national airline fly to Miami will help us achieve the goal of 10 million visitors in the coming years," said director of the Dominican Republic Office of Tourism in Miami, Wendy Justo.
According to the Office of Tourism, Miami is one of the biggest source markets for travel to Santo Domingo.
Pawa said expansion to New York is also in the pipeline.
The airline’s route network will also allow South Florida travelers easy connections to other key Caribbean destinations like Havana, Curacao, St. Maarten, Aruba and Puerto Rico.
