Brazilian football legend Pele is to set sail on a special football cruise next summer.

He will be joined by other top players on the Costa Serena sailing from Venice on June 28 for seven nights.

The Brazilian-themed voyage will include parties, festivities and musical shows involving performers from the country such as Alexandre Pires, Toquinho and the Grupo Sereno.

Passengers will include presidents of football confederations, federations and clubs as well as other big names from the sports and media world, according to the company.

Conferences and meetings dedicated to “today’s football” will also be held during the cruise.
