Peppers Hermitage emerges as Peppers The Louise
Peppers Hermitage has emerged from a total rebuild as the Peppers The Louise, set to establish the property as one of Australia’s Top Vineyard Hideaway Retreats.
Proprietors Jim and Helen Carreker have unveiled their new luxury vineyard retreat in South Australia’s Barossa Valley at the site of the former Peppers Hermitage, overlooking one of the most stunning vineyard vistas in the world.
Peppers The Louise, a completely remodelled and reconfigured fifteen suite luxury establishment is said to set a new Australian standard for pampered privacy and an unsurpassed food and wine experience.
Opening this month, Peppers The Louise affords a luxurious and secluded ambience for those who seek and appreciate inspired design, elegant décor, understated and informed service, and an unparalleled dining experience.
Co-located with widely acclaimed restaurant Appellation, Peppers The Louise brings to fruition more than a decade of global research by the owners, with their vision now realised in the complete renovation and expansion of ten luxury suites, a total upgrade of courtyards and landscaping, and refurbishment of five spacious Estate Suites, which opened in 2004.
In addition to luxe king beds with crisp linens and soft contemporary furnishings, guest amenities include in-room fireplaces, large dual spa tubs, private outdoor showers, LCD digital flat screen TV/DVDs in the guest bedrooms and marble ensuite bathrooms, private gated courtyards, separate toilet areas, walk-in two-person indoor rain showers, heated ensuite flooring, intimate and relaxing beautifully furnished seating areas overlooking the vineyards and shaded terraces with private vineyard vistas.
Guest privacy is taken to a new standard with individually gated courtyards, intercoms, and silent signals for service staff to recognize guest preferences for total privacy or immediate room service.
The name The Louise emanates from a long family history of entrepreneurs and strong women traced back to Mr. Carreker’s grandmother, being a tribute to her memory and inspiration, and to the many other women on both sides of the family bearing the name.
Central to Peppers The Louise is the highly acclaimed food and wine restaurant Appellation, serving seasonal cuisine nightly. Within months of its opening last September, regional critics hailed Appellation as one of the top three restaurants within South Australia, and Gourmet Traveller has named Appellation as one of the world’s eighteen Best of the Best restaurants in its April 2006 issue.
Concurrent with the opening of Peppers The Louise over the next month, Appellation will introduce a dramatically expanded international wine list and a nightly Appellation Tasting Menu option.
Forward bookings and more information are available at the property’s website www.peppers.com.au/thelouise
