P&O Cruises’ New Brochure - TravelMole

P&O Cruises’ New Brochure

Thursday, 24 Oct, 2006 0

P&O Cruises has launched its latest brochure featuring more than 150 great cruises, including a season of exotic voyages through Asia.

The new Asian cruise season combines traditional favourites with new ports of call including Sihanoukville in ancient Cambodia, Hua Hin – the Thai royal family’s favourite holiday retreat, and Malaysia’s captivating cities and islands.

The Asian ports are among 38 exciting destinations on offer in the new brochure, with more than 150 cruises setting sail from Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Singapore between December 2006 and October 2008. P&O Cruises’ three-ship fleet includes Australia’s first superliner Pacific Dawn – which debuts in November 2007 – and classic favourites Pacific Sun and Pacific Star.

With the company marking its historic 75th year of cruising from Australia in 2007, the new brochure includes once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to book anniversary cruises on Pacific Dawn departing November 9, 2007 and Pacific Star departing December 8, 2007.

Cruises booked by April 30, 2007, also attract an early booking discount of 35 per cent bringing fares down to $939* per person in a complete quad-share cabin, for a seven-night cruise.

Following the success of its inaugural Asian season earlier this year, P&O Cruises will return to the region in 2008, deploying its 1350-passenger Pacific Star from Singapore to operate 21 cruises between April and October.

Passengers will be able to choose between two seven-night itineraries, with the Western Tropics itinerary visiting the bustling Malaysian city of Kuala Lumpur, historic Penang and Malacca, idyllic Langkawi Island and the exotic Thai resort town of Phuket.  The Eastern Sunsets itinerary will visit Thailand’s Koh Samui, Hua Hin, the thriving capital of Bangkok and Cambodia’s idyllic beach town of Sihanoukville, famous for its white sand beaches and warm waters.

Pacific Star’s two Asian itineraries will sail from Singapore each Saturday, offering Australians an ideal one-week holiday option. Or passengers can combine both for a two-week Asian delight featuring 10 ports of call. Fares for a seven-night cruise from Singapore start at $988* per person in a complete quad-share cabin.

The brochure also includes Pacific Dawn’s first 16 cruises, with the debut of “Your Choice Cruising” set to transform cruising in Australia. The spacious 70,000-ton Pacific Dawn will allow passengers to choose when, where and with whom they dine each evening at one of five dining venues, enjoy more entertainment, and select from a variety of accommodation with 798 cabins available – including 184 affordable private balcony staterooms. Fares for a seven-night Pacific Dawn cruise to the South Pacific start at $988* per person in a complete quad-share cabin, or $1933* per person in a cabin with private balcony.

P&O Cruises’ classic cruising experiences on Pacific Star and Pacific Sun also feature prominently in the new brochure, with South Pacific escapes and tropical north Queensland cruises continuing to offer great value holidays for all ages. Fares for a seven-night Pacific Star tropical north Queensland cruise start at $939* per person in a complete quad-share cabin.
