Portugal prepares for round two of strikes
Portugal is preparing itself for more flight disruption after pilots unions threatened more strikes on December 9.
TAP Portugal has issued a warning to its passengers to expect severe delays and/or flight cancellations to flight operations between the UK and Portugal should the strikes go ahead.
It is urging customers to rebook for alternative dates.
It said: “TAP senior management is doing all possible to avoid work stoppages by negotiating with the appropriate authorities. They are optimistic that the issues between the two parties can be resolved without the need for a strike.
“TAP would like to take this opportunity to apologise to its customers and trade partners for any inconvenience this proposed action may cause.”
