Positano serves up La Dolce Vita in Barbados
A new highlight of Barbados’ dining scene has opened on the island’s west coast: Positano.
Developed by Elegant Hotels, part of All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy, the coastal Italian restaurant serves up complimentary dining options for guests of The House and Tamarind, and is also open to non-resident guests.
Helmed by chef Marcello Piacentini, Positano is an interpretation of its Amalfi Coast namesake serving authentic Italian cuisine in a casual dining atmosphere.
Dishes include freshly-caught frutti di mare from the surrounding Caribbean waters, handmade pastas with classic Italian sauces, and from early next year, handcrafted pizzas from the signature Pizza Bar equipped with its own pizza oven.
Desserts include the classc.tiramisu, affogato and zeppole (Italian-style beignets).
It has a wide selection of spirits and rums, and with a terrace overlooking the Caribbean sea, Positano makes an ideal spot for a sunset aperitivo.
Located just steps from Elegant Hotels properties The House and Tamarind, the new outlet is a welcome addition to the all-inclusive offering at both properties.
Elegant Hotels guests staying elsewhere can also take advantage of a complimentary water taxi to the restaurant.
Positano is open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday from 6:30pm – 9:30pm, with Happy Hour from 5:00pm – 6:00pm.
Tamarind guests dine with the provision of a voucher.
Elegant Hotels has seven hotels and resorts on Barbados, owned and operated by Marriott International, including Treasure Beach, The House, Tamarind, Crystal Cove, Turtle Beach Resort and Waves Hotel & Spa under the All-Inclusive by Marriott portfolio, as well as the Colony Club Hotel.
