Preferred Hotel Group boasts big increase in sales
Preferred Hotel Group, the independent luxury hotel brand, reported its 2012 year-end results this week, in time for bragging rights at their annual media showcase on Tuesday.
Preferred Hotels marked a 19% increase in revenue for member hotels, up to a total of $730 million. The company also generated a 14% increase in reservations via a diverse blend of distribution channels. Three million room nights were booked in 2012, up 17% from 2011.
The brand cited initiatives like new partnerships with RoomKey.com and Trivago as key to its financial uptick in 2012. It also cites the inaurguration of a fifth brand, Summit Serviced Residences, increased loyalty members and the success of a new site, www.preferredfamily.com as critical components of its banner year.
