East Anglia independent travel agency Premier Travel has acquired seven branches of Travel Centre (Norwich) for an undisclosed sum.

Twenty-branch Premier is to retain the newly-acquired outlets under the Travel Centre brand.

Both companies are Worldchoice members and will create a business with retail turnover of more than £40 million a year.

Premier Travel managing director Greg Mould, said: “The acquisition of the Travel Centre group is a good match for us both geographically and operationally; we are both Worldchoice members who place a high value on staff experience and a wide choice of quality product.

“Our seven new outlets will continue to trade as Travel Centre.  The deal will give us a combined retail turnover in excess of £40 million per annum.”
