Prestige Holidays appoints long haul sales manager
Prestige Holidays has appointed Jonathan Whiteley as long haul sales manager.
Whiteley is currently national sales manager at First Class Holidays.
He will take up the newly-created role at Prestige next month and will work alongside director of sales Shubhra Halliday, director of Canada tour operations Denise Hunn and Lorna Curry, manager Australia & New Zealand portfolio.
John Dixon, chairman and managing director, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Jonathan who joins us as we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary next month. A consummate industry professional, with 20 years’ experience across many destinations, I’m absolutely delighted to welcome him on board in this exciting year.
"Since launching as a luxury tour operator back in 1989, focusing largely on my beloved Bermuda and destinations in and around the Med, our business has over the course of 30 years diversified hugely.
"While those initial core programmes remain crucial to the company, we’ve developed dedicated, specialist programmes to other destinations too – with Croatia, Canada and more recently Australia and New Zealand now key members of the Prestige family. In fact, our parallel operation to Canada now accounts for just over 20 per cent of activity.
"Of course we all know that our success and longevity hasn’t happened by accident. It is our people who have been instrumental. They are our biggest asset and behind everything we do is a passionate specialist and Jonathan’s appointment is an extension of this policy".
