Pro golfer arrested over 'shocking behaviour' on London-bound flight

A professional golfer has been arrested following a display of ‘shocking behavior’ on a London-bound transatlantic flight.

Danish golfer Thorbjorn Olesen, 29, has been accused of sexually assaulting a sleeping woman and urinating in the aisle.

Oleson ‘started abusing some of the passengers and crew and then made a pass at one of the female passengers before taking a leak in the aisle,’ the Sun reports citing one witness aboard the British Airways flight.

"It was shocking behavior. You would maybe expect it on a budget airline but not in the first-class cabin on BA."

Oleson was traveling back to Europe after in the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational at TPC Southwind.

He was detained on landing in London and faces charges of sexual assault, being drunk onboard an aircraft and failing to comply with cabin crew.

A BA spokesperson said: "Our customers and crews deserve to enjoy their flights, and not to suffer any form of abuse. This sort of behavior will not be tolerated, and the appropriate action will always be taken."

Fellow pro golfer Ian Poulter was also on the flight and intervened to help diffuse the situation once it got heated but Oleson continued to be disruptive to passengers and crew when Poulter fell asleep, according to the report.
