The Foreign Office has issued a warning to travellers to Crete to be extra cautious at the island’s airport after a demonstration got out of hand at the island’s airport.
Police had to use tear gas to control taxi drivers who were protesting yesterday at Heraklion Airport against government plans to liberalise their sector.
“Visitors are advised to exercise caution when using the airport and to follow advice given by their tour operators,†said the Foreign Office.
