Qantas jet damaged as tornado rips through airport
A Qantas Dreamliner jet suffered damage after a tornado suddenly ripped through Brisbane Airport. Footage showed the aircraft being dragged sideways by the force of the twister, and was even lifted off the ground. It uprooted trees and damaged roofing at the airport with sections of sheet metal being sucked into the tornado.
The aircraft may be out of service for some time as it is thought it suffered a fuselage crack.
