Qantas jets collide while in maintenance

Two Qantas jets collided yesterday while being towed at the airline’s maintenance base.

One of the aircraft was the 747 involved in the Manila mid-air explosion in July.

It was close to being ready to fly again when today’s incident happened.

The other 747 was undergoing heavy maintenance.

Both aircraft sustained some damage but the airline has not revealed the extent of it.
