Calls are increasing for Qantas to address its Covid travel credit expiry.
The flag carrier is still sitting on about A$800 million worth of unused travel credits.
They are due to expire at the end of 2023.
Consumer advocacy group Choice called on Qantas to extend the expiry date.
The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) wants the airline to extend it by another year or better still, totally remove any expiry date.
AFTA CEO Dean Long questioned whether airlines should be allowed to impose an expiry date at all.
Last year Choice filed a complaint to the ACCC arguing Qantas’ credit policy was unfair.
