Rail Europe takes passengers to new heights

Rail Europe agents can now offer travellers Gornergrat Railways services in Switzerland

The Gornergrat service departs from Zermatt every 24 minutes on a 9,339m journey over 33 minutes.

It takes travellers through alpine meadows, lakes and gorges and 29 peaks that tower above 4000m – from the Matterhorn through to the Monte Rosa.

At the final destination the 3100m Kulmhotel Gornergrat is the highest altitude hotel in Switzerland. It includes a restaurant, observatory and shopping mall.

Rail Europe tickets are distributed by Rail Plus, Rail Tickets, CIT Holidays and Infinity Rail in Australia, and Rail Plus and Go Holidays in New Zealand.
