Re-furb for Twin Waters announced
2006 is heralding exciting changes for Novotel Twin Waters Resort, with the formal announcement today that the property will be undertaking a significant refurbishment commencing in September – encompassing all 360 existing rooms and suites, dining and public areas – at an estimated cost of $15 million.
The catalyst to the refurbishment, which is expected to take ten months to complete, is the recent purchase of the resort by the Abacus Property Group (settlement occurred in June 2006).
Completed in 1990, the multi award-winning Novotel Twin Waters Resort has been a stalwart of the region’s tourism industry and its Wandiny Room, with its 1000 seat capacity, is the largest resort-based events facility on the Sunshine Coast.
With the upgrade plans realised and with the added benefit of its unique location and multiple product offerings, including a unique on-site Circus School (Cirque Espace), over-water dining and an 18-hole championship golf course nearby, the property looks poised to set a new benchmark for resort accommodation on the Sunshine Coast.
