US President Donald Trump has finally nominated a Federal Aviation Administration chief.
The President’s pick is regional airline CEO Bryan Bedford.
Bedford is the Chief Executive of regional carrier Republic Airways.
Bedford is subject t Senate confirmation.
Trump touted Bedford’s three decades of aviation experience and will ‘strongly reform the agency, safeguard our exports and ensure the safety of nearly one billion annual passenger movements.’
It comes amid staff cuts at the regulator and two recent fatal commercial air crashes.
