Regional carrier expands fleet

Eastern Airways is expanding its fleet with the introduction of two 50-seat Saab 2000 aircraft.

The UK regional airline, which flies from 18 UK and European airports, has signed a lease agreement for the aircraft with the Swedish aircraft manufacturer.

Delivery of the first aircraft will take place on December 3 and 15, bringing the increasing the number of Saab 2000s in the fleet up to eight.

A new service from Aberdeen to Oslo will be launched on January 12.
