The operations of budget carrier Spicejet were snagged by two emergency landings in the same day.

Seven SpiceJet aircraft have made landings in just the last 17 days.

A SpiceJet flight touched down safely in Mumbai after the cockpit windshield was cracked.

A separate flight to Dubai, a jet diverted to Karachi, Pakistan because of a reported fuel indicator malfunction.

This involved a Boeing 737 Max aircraft.

A replacement aircraft had to be sent to Karachi to take passengers to Dubai.

A Jabalpur-bound SpiceJet flight at the weekend reported smoke in the cabin.

The regular Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is probing all seven of the incidents.
