Rex launching 12th domestic route with new Perth flights
Regional airline Rex has announced its second new route to Perth in just the last few days.
Rex is launching three flights a week between Adelaide and Perth on Embraer E-190 jets.
The Perth flights will be operated by Rex Group charter subsidiary National Jet Express.
NJE is headquartered at Perth and has hubs in Adelaide and Brisbane.
The route kicks off from 28 June 2024 and tickets are now on sale.
It comes just days after Rex announced new Perth flights from Melbourne.
“This is terrific news for Perth and Adelaide travellers because more operators mean more competition,” NJE Director Anthony Gibara said.
“We intend to increase the number of services once we are established on the route.”
According to flight data, almost 630,000 passengers flew between Adelaide and Perth last year.
The NJE Embraer E-190 jets can accommodate more than 100 passengers.
The new route is the 12th domestic service for the Rex Group connecting major state capitals and popular destinations.
All fares include checked baggage and refreshments.
