Rocky Mountaineer has appointed Steve Sammut as its new president.
Sammut joined the luxury train operator in 2012 as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Prior to this he held a similar position at real estate development firm Intracorp Projects Limited and has previously served in senior leadership roles including chief financial officer at resort developer Intrawest ULC.
"It is a new era at Rocky Mountaineer and we are very pleased to have a leader of Steve’s caliber at the helm," said Rocky Mountaineer chairman John Furlong.
"His passion for the company, deep knowledge in capital markets and broad business acumen from the hospitality and real estate industries will continue to be invaluable to our organization."
Vancouver-based Rocky Mountaineer offers dozens of vacation packages on four unique rail routes in the Pacific Northwest and the Canadian Rockies.
