Roger Dow to leave U.S. Travel
Roger Dow, long-time president and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association will step down in a year’s time.
Dow extended his contract through July 2022 and the group’s board will begin an executive search for his replacement in the coming months.
Dow joined USTA in 2005.
"The board is very grateful to Roger for his steadfast leadership and profound influence on this industry and for strengthening U.S. Travel as a key resource and unifying voice," said U.S. Travel National Chair Christine Duffy, who is also President of Carnival Cruise Line.
"We are especially glad that Roger will remain in this critically important role over the next year as we continue to rebuild the industry."
Dow’s long tenure included overseeing 10 consecutive years of industry expansion from 2009-2019, according to the association.
He was also instrumental in pushing for legislation that led to the creation of destination marketing organization, Brand USA.
