Royal Caribbean’s fifth Oasis-class ship named
Royal Caribbean has named its fifth Oasis class cruise ship Wonder of the Seas.
Set to be the largest ship on the seas, construction officially began with the keel laying ceremony at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France.
It becomes the third specifically for the Chinese cruise market and heads straight to Shanghai in 2021.
Wonder will be the first Oasis class ship to offer cruises in Asia.
"Royal Caribbean International has been a market leader in China for more than 10 years by showcasing bold deployment strategies and driving growth of the new to cruise market," said Dr. Zinan Liu, Chairman of Royal Caribbean Asia.
It will have the same seven-neighborhood concept as its sister ships.
Further details about itineraries and shipboard amenities will be released in the near future.
