Russian volcanic ash cloud grounds Alaska flights
The Russian volcanic ash cloud has drifted over North America, sparking dozens of flight cancellations.
Alaska Airlines had to scrap dozens of flights Thursday to and from Alaska.
The Shiveluch volcano erupted several days ago.

Air Canada says it was also monitoring ash cloud activity while Westjet canceled a few flights.
Shiveluch is one of the most active volcanoes in the region.
