Ryanair doubles annual loss forecast

Ryanair has been hit with a ‘downturn’ in Christmas bookings prompting it to revise a profit warning. It expects annual losses to more than double compared to previous guidance.
It expects annual losses of €250-450m for the year to March. The airline has seen ‘notably weakened’ bookings for New Year, due to fresh travel curbs across Europe spurred by the rapid spread of the Omicron variant.
