Ryanair passenger numbers drop in March

Thursday, 3 April 20143 min read

Ryanair has reported a 4% drop in passenger numbers to 5.2 million for March.

The airline blamed the fall on the timing of Easter, which fell in March last year but falls in April this year.

Load factor, meanwhile, increased 1% to 80% and annual traffic to March 2014 rose 3% to a record 81.7 million customers.

"Forward bookings for the summer months continue to grow strongly as Ryanair continues to give our customers the lowest fares and a much improved customer experience," said head of communications Robin Kiely.
